About the Role

Rubrik is looking for a strategic, technically deep Staff Product Manager to own the AI Platform that powers the Rubrik Security Cloud control plane. In this role you will design the system that allows AI agents to make good decisions, act safely, and scale across our product surface. You will own the infrastructure layer beneath the agent experience including areas such as the governance framework, guardrails, permissions, multi-tool orchestration, failure handling, memory management, and cost containment. You will work closely with our development teams to earn the trust of our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Define and own the AI platform architecture that enables agents to discover, select, and execute tools reliably
  • Design and enforce the governance framework for agent actions 
  • Define guardrails that prevent unsafe, unauthorized, or out-of-scope agent behavior without over-restricting capability
  • Own multi-tool orchestration to handle dependencies and gracefully recover from failures
  • Define and track platform metrics to ensure success while considering costs
  • Partner with security and compliance teams to ensure the platform meets enterprise trust requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • 9+ years of experience in product management, with significant experience in platform or infrastructure product roles
  • 5+ years experience in the enterprise IT infrastructure market (cloud and on-prem)
  • Deep technical fluency in AI/ML systems, LLMs, agentic architectures, or developer platforms
  • Experience building governance, trust, or safety frameworks for AI or automated systems
  • Demonstrated experience creating strategic plans and executing against them 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to lead without authority
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated towards the achievement and measurement of established goals

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US Pay Range
$175,500$263,300 USD
