Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking Staff Product Line Cybersecurity Architect.
What You’ll Get to Do:
System Level Role, responsible for the Cybersecurity Architecture and design for extremely complex systems that incorporate mature and emerging technologies. The Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for analyzing overarching needs by using a structured and logical approach and developing Cybersecurity Architecture solutions and concepts for various new and emerging capabilities, in collaboration with other architects, including the chief engineer, chief architect, program chief engineers, program system architects, software architects, hardware architects, and other internal, customer, and supplier stakeholders. The Cybersecurity Architect establishes the Cybersecurity Architecture standards for all system segments to implement.
This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD area.
This position is contingent upon acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers’ requirements.
Basic Qualifications for Staff Product Line Cybersecurity Architect:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 12 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 10 years of experience with Master's degree, 8 years of experience with PhD
Must be familiar with and be able to apply industry-standard security guidance (NIST, IEEE, ISO 27001, IEC 62443, etc.)
Expert knowledge of security design, development, and testing methodologies
Experience in collaborating with engineering teams to design secure systems, applications, and infrastructure, ensuring security is built-in from the start. This includes creating secure patterns and frameworks that can be applied across multiple programs
Experience in threat modeling and risk assessment
Demonstrated experience with the Systems Development Lifecycle and successfully supporting major reviews with focus on building a secure product.
Demonstrated experience working with architectural studies, technical baseline definition, requirements & interface management
Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, network and computer architecture, and relevant technologies
Experience working closely with various teams, including product management, engineering, and development, to ensure security requirements are understood and implemented. Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong technical briefing skills
This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen
Current active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI w. Polygraph prior to start
Preferred Qualifications for Staff Product Line Cybersecurity Architect:
Current active DoD TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
Significant experience in building secure products, and maintaining product focus throughout development
Significant knowledge of and experience with product manufacture, test/integration, deployment and operation
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals, principles, and processes, specifically system architecture
Deep understanding of product and system functionality, including hardware and software dependencies
Expertise in security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Knowledge of secure architecture principles, including principles like Zero Trust.
