In this team, you’ll do work that truly matters by shaping the platform engineering backbone of Financial Crime Technology, providing strategic technical leadership as the DevSecOps and platform SME that uplifts engineering capability across the chapter. You’ll design and optimise modern GitHub Actions–based CI/CD pipelines, build scalable AWS cloud foundations using EKS and automation tooling, and lead hands-on engineering to solve complex challenges in reliability, observability and operational excellence.
You’ll drive AI-enabled transformation through intelligent automation and self-healing capabilities, elevate developer experience with golden paths and self-service workflows, and collaborate with architects, security, product and data teams while coaching engineers to modernise systems and embed secure, cloud-native, automated engineering practices that power the future of financial crime prevention.

Provide strategic technical leadership, acting as the chapter’s DevSecOps and platform engineering SME to uplift engineering capability and influence long-term platform direction.
Design, build and optimise modern CI/CD pipelines (YAML-based, GitHub Actions) to drive fast, secure and automated delivery across teams.
Shape and evolve a scalable AWS cloud platform, engineering resilient, cloud-native foundations using services such as EKS, automation tooling and secure delivery patterns.
Lead hands-on engineering to solve complex technical challenges, improving reliability, observability (Grafana, Prometheus), operational excellence and incident response.
Champion AI-enabled transformation, introducing intelligent automation, predictive insights and self-healing capabilities across platform operations.
Elevate the developer experience by creating golden paths, reusable templates, self-service workflows and streamlined DevOps practices that accelerate delivery.
Collaborate and coach across disciplines, partnering with architects, security, product and data teams while mentoring engineers to uplift skills, modernise legacy systems and embed cloud-native, secure, automated engineering practices.

Cloud Architecture (AWS Deep Expertise) Designs secure, scalable multi-account AWS environments using EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, DynamoDB and CloudFront, applying IAM and networking best practices to build resilient distributed systems.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation) Engineers modular, reusable IaC architectures with Terraform or CloudFormation, implementing GitOps workflows and automated environment provisioning across development, staging and production.
Programming Languages (Python, Go, Java) Builds automation tooling, microservices, CLI utilities and system-level components using languages such as Python, Go or Java, applying strong software engineering principles to platform engineering challenges.
Scripting & Automation (Bash, Python) Creates robust automation pipelines, deployment tooling and infrastructure lifecycle management scripts using Bash, Python or similar languages to streamline operations and eliminate manual effort.
Containers & Kubernetes (Docker, EKS) Architects highly available container platforms using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS) and service-mesh patterns, optimising cluster utilisation, reliability and cost while supporting large-scale workloads.
CI/CD Engineering (GitHub Actions Expertise) Builds and operates enterprise-grade CI/CD systems with deep GitHub Actions experience, including reusable workflow templates, advanced matrix builds, OIDC-secured AWS deployments, automated security scanning, dependency management and multi-region release orchestration.
AWS-Native Security & Platform Reliability (SRE Practices) Implements strong security foundations using IAM, KMS, WAF, Security Hub and Secrets Manager; enforces least-privilege, encryption and threat-detection patterns; and applies SRE principles such as SLO/SLI design, chaos testing, incident response and production hardening to ensure platform resilience.
