The Boeing CompanyJoin Boeing’s Occupational Health team in Berkeley, MO as a Staff Nurse to support employees nationwide by ensuring safe, compliant access to occupational healthcare, coordinating medical qualifications and return-to-work plans, and delivering hands-on clinical care at the St. Louis Occupational Health Clinic. This role blends case coordination, regulatory oversight, interdepartmental collaboration, and direct patient care.
The Staff Nurse supports Boeing’s National Site Support Health Services program by managing clinic relationships, scheduling occupational exams, reviewing medical documentation, coordinating return-to-work and fitness-for-duty processes, and providing clinical services (triage, wound care, immunizations, phlebotomy, vision/hearing screens, drug testing, spirometry) in the St. Louis clinic as needed. The role requires careful documentation, regulatory compliance, and frequent in-person, telephonic, and email communication with employees, managers, community clinics, and internal business partners.
The ideal candidate is a highly conscientious and organized nurse who is detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and empathetic. Strong communicator and collaborator who can work with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders, protect confidential information, and navigate regulatory requirements with professional judgment. Comfortable with phone/email coordination as well as hands-on patient care, adaptable to changing workflows, and motivated to improve processes and patient outcomes.
Position Responsibilities:
Maintain the National Site Support Health Services program:
Identify and manage relationships with nationwide clinics
Notify employees and managers of required exams and follow-ups
Monitor schedules and create or authorize appointments as needed to prevent medical certification expirations
Enter external clinic results into the Medical Information System
Review and interpret medical records, questionnaires, test results, and provider notes for occupational exams and injuries
Coordinate return-to-work planning, fitness-for-duty evaluations, work restrictions, and participate in interactive reasonable accommodation planning in accordance with legal and company requirements
Participate in Threat Management and Fitness for Duty case reviews as needed
Validate invoices and ensure exam documentation and results are complete and compliant with scope of service
Collaborate with Safety, EHS, HR, ergonomics, Workers’ Compensation, and clinical providers to resolve occupational health needs and concerns
Support development and review of clinical policies, protocols, and Quality Assurance / Continuous Improvement processes to maintain OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, and other regulatory compliance
Provide travel medicine consults and wellness program support
Provide hands-on nursing assessment, triage, treatment, and patient education per site protocols and physician/advanced practice directives
Perform and interpret occupational diagnostic testing (EKG, spirometry/PFT, phlebotomy, blood glucose, audiograms, vision screens, vitals) and conduct drug-free workplace specimen collection
Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and protect PII/PHI in Boeing systems

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Current, unrestricted RN license in Missouri
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
3+ years clinical nursing experience
3+ years with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
COHN/COHN-S, CCM, or related certifications
CAOHC Audiogram certification, NIOSH PFT certification, DOT specimen collection certification
1+ year emergency room, urgent care, or acute care experience
1+ year occupational/employee health experience
1+ year case management or quality improvement experience
Experience supporting large employers, healthcare organizations, or industrial/manufacturing occupational health programs
Workers’ compensation case management and fitness-for-duty experience
