HARMAN is an equal opportunity employer that fosters an inclusive work environment, offers challenging career opportunities, professional development, and competitive compensation.This role is responsible for representing Supply Management in cross-functional meetings, independently addressing and resolving issues, and ensuring effective coordination with stakeholders.

What You Will Do

Define and drive the purchasing strategy in collaboration with Operations, with a strong focus on on-time delivery.

Ensure timely receipt of parts from all suppliers in the required quality and condition.

Monitor and maintain inventory levels in line with organizational requirements; publish weekly inventory reports.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project success by representing Supply Management in meetings, resolving issues independently, and escalating to management when necessary.

Assess supply risks and align with the Procurement Project Manager on acceptable risk levels; incorporate these considerations into supplier negotiations.

Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving best-in-class performance across the supplier base.

Proactively expedite suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of purchased parts.

Optimize freight costs and manage overall freight operations effectively.

Manage and coordinate with import suppliers, ensuring compliance and timely deliveries.

What You Need to Be Successful

Demonstrates high levels of personal integrity and a strong commitment to safety.

First Class Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering qualification.

8–14 years of experience in Supplier Release within the automotive components industry.

Proficient in SAP systems and freight management processes.

Proven experience in sourcing electronic components and delivering cost optimization initiatives.

Fluent in English and Hindi & Marathi Language (Written and Spoken)
