The Alaska M family of 2.5G, 5G and 10G PHY devices is designed to enable enterprises to migrate to mGig Ethernet networking infrastructure quickly and cost-effectively. Alaska M PHY devices offer high performance, design simplicity and extremely low power dissipation, while supporting Category 5e, 6 and 6A type cables for distances up to 100 meters.

The Alaska M 10G PHY devices enable broad-based market adoption of 10 GbE network connectivity over Cat 6A cabling, supporting the roll-out of Wi-Fi 7 and networking infrastructure modernization. Alaska M 10G devices boast the industry’s lowest power, highest performance and smallest form factor in their category and integrate features such as Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), PTP/1588v2, SyncE, MACsec, and support for all PoE standards up to 100W.

What You Can Expect

In this role you will:

  • Support Marvell Alaska‑M Multi‑Gigabit 10GBASE‑T Ethernet copper PHY and HSC retimer products through system‑level validation and IC hardware platform PCB board design.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive system‑level performance validation plans. Create and implement automated system validation test scripts using Python.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional copper PHY teams—including firmware, DSP, digital, analog, and test engineering—throughout the product development cycle to enhance system validation and overall product quality.

  • Provide technical support to customer‑facing applications engineers for Ethernet cu PHY and HSC SERDES retimer PHY.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience OR Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 2-3 years of 
experience.

  • Lab/test measurement experience, working knowledge of using lab equipment including high speed oscilloscope, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and traffic generators.
  • Ethernet/networking related field preferred
  • Knowledge of SERDES and high-speed interface protocols/signaling or mixed signal IC preferred

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

109,400 - 161,950, $ per annum

The successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
