Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Join an inclusive team passionate about one thing: using their expertise in the relentless pursuit of innovation for customers and partners. The solutions we build help make everything from virtual reality experiences to breakthroughs in neural networks possible. We do it all while committing to integrity, sustainability, and giving back to our communities. Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.
Role Summary
The Staff Engineer develops, optimizes, and characterizes cell film thin film processes (ALD/CVD) to meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability targets, and supports scaling of cell film processes across nodes and platforms. Owns defined portions of a module/sub-module under guidance; tracks margins, sensitivities, and integration risks; drives issue resolution within assigned scope. Operates as a cross-functional contributor who translates experiment outcomes into actionable process improvements.
Main Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization
Develop, optimize, and characterize thin film processes (ALD/CVD); design and execute well-planned experiments; analyze data and translate results into process improvements.
Support scaling of cell film processes across nodes and platforms.
Module Ownership & Issue Resolution
Own defined portions of a process module/sub-module; track process margins, key sensitivities, and integration risks.
Drive resolution of process/tool-related issues within assigned scope.
Process Integration & Correlation
Work closely with integration and device teams to ensure compatibility and electrical performance; correlate material/structural/electrical data to guide optimization.
Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations for yield and reliability issues.
Tool/Hardware Engagement
Build strong hands-on knowledge of cell film equipment/hardware behavior; support tool qualifications, upgrades, and platform transfers; partner with suppliers to improve stability and capability.
Communication & Technical Growth
Communicate results via technical reports/reviews/data summaries; escalate risks with data-driven recommendations; mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
Other Responsibilities
Communicate results clearly through reports, reviews, and data summaries; escalate risks with data-driven recommendations.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
