Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector has an opening for a Staff Electrical Engineer/ Electrical Engineer Manager to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This role requires a solid foundation and understanding of testing in the IT&L environment. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, California.
Responsibilities:
Frequent contacts with internal personnel and outside customer representatives at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling or specific phases. Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal external representatives concerning specifics operations.
Coming up to speed on the T2 Flatsat Hardware, Software, and Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE)
Requirements definition/Test Information Sheets (TIS), creation and execution of automated test scripts (ATSs)
Test procedure authoring and execution using CAPE (Computer Aided Procedure Environment)
Verification/validation of subsystem and system level requirements
Cross-team collaboration (other subsystems and test operations)
Development of data analysis tools
Test data review and analysis
Participation in formal system testing
Troubleshooting efforts and anomaly resolution
Will be able to support multiple shifts and weekends
Specifics of responsibilities can be tailored based on grade level and relevant experience of selected candidate. This position will require occasionally working shift work and overtime. Additionally, the nature of this position requires individuals to be comfortable working full time in a classified development environment; cell phones or personal electronic devices are prohibited within these areas.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a STEM related field with 12 years of related work experience or a Master's degree with 10 years of related work experience or 8 year's experience with PhD.
Experience with Integration and Test campaigns
Experience with Electrical Power Subsystem or Telemetry, Tracking & Commanding Subsystem
Candidate must have an active DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications.
Possess strong leadership qualities, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
Active DoD Top Secret/SSBI and/or Active SCI
Electrical Integration & Test team experience
Ability to operate in a large Integration and Test environment with multiple disciplines
Ability to function as a member of a large team
Experience with oscilloscopes, RF Test Equipment, RF and DC cables
Experience with other subsystems: Attitude Control, Comm Payload, Mission Payload, Command & Data Handling
Experience with Test Sets associated with Electrical Power Subsystem Subsystems and other Subsystems stated above
Experience troubleshooting anomalous hardware and software
Experience in test script development
Basic Programming Skills in one or more of these areas: Python, C, Matlab, Excel
Excellent communication skills
