Staff Buyer

What You Will Do:

Vendor & Schedule Management

  • Manage the end-to-end purchasing process for PCBAs used in server and data center.

  • Monitor PCBA component availability and material readiness at vendor sites to ensure production continuity.

  • Review and track vendor supply commits, material shortages, and component delivery schedules.

  • Work with vendor to resolve component constraints and ensure on-time build execution.

  • Drive suppliers to meet delivery, lead time, and quality requirements.

Procurement Execution

  • Release PCBA demand, purchase orders (POs), and forecasts to vendors.

  • Follow up on PO confirmation, delivery schedules, and changes to align with build plans.

  • Maintain accurate procurement data in systems (lead times, pricing, delivery dates).

  • Support material pull-in, push-out, and reschedule requests in response to changing build requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, and material management teams to ensure smooth production flow.

  • Coordinate with component engineering and commodity managers to address supply risks and EOL (End of Life) issues.

  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on material status, shortages, and recovery plans.

Supplier Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor vendor performance through key metrics: delivery, responsiveness, quality, and flexibility.

  • Drive continuous improvement in supplier scheduling, material visibility, and communication processes.


What You Bring:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in procurement or supply management within the electronics or server hardware industry.

  • Strong background in PCBA or EMS/ODM outsourcing operations.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing and component lead times.

  • Strong scheduling, coordination, and follow-up skills.

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and supplier management skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive results under tight timelines.
