Staff Analog IC Engineer (P4) 
Location: Limerick, Ireland 
 

The Position 

Analog Devices is seeking a staff analog / mixed signal IC design engineer for its Data Center & Energy (DCE) group in Limerick, Ireland. Within DCE, we deliver high reliability power, connectivity, and analytics solutions for modern data centers and energy infrastructure.  

The successful candidate will specify, implement, and verify analog circuits for mixed-signal SoCs that enable signal measurement and analytics. This role focuses on specification interpretation, transistor level design, verification, and integration, working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Architect, develop, and verify analog circuits and subsystems; ensure functional correctness and specification conformance  

  • Perform transistor level design and simulation  

  • Develop DFT strategies and test plans 

  • Collaborate with digital, firmware, and validation teams to integrate analog content into mixed-signal SoCs  

  • Assist with silicon bring-up and debug; support lab measurements and correlation to simulation  

  • Contribute to methodology improvements and automation initiatives  

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent)  

  • 7+ years of experience in analog integrated circuit design  

  • Proficiency in spice simulation and scripting languages (Python, etc.)  

  • Understanding of IC design and layout topics including matching, offset, and noise coupling, latch up, and ESD 

  • Understanding of DFT concepts and basic test strategies  

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision  

  • Good organization; written and verbal communication skills  

 
Preferred Qualifications: 

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)    

  • Experience with lab prototyping and system-level modeling 

  • Demonstrated experience of leadership on IC design projects 

  • Working knowledge of numerical modeling techniques 

  • Experience with ADCs, DACs, and serial communications interfaces 

  • BiCMOS and High voltage IC design experience 

  • Interest in methodology improvements and automation
