Empower small business owners with the premier commerce enablement solution for local, independent pizzerias. 

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will focus on our US corporate accounting function. You will be supporting five international entities on daily cash, check, credit card, accounts payable and loan reconciliation, and maintenance of pre-paids and accruals for the corporate portfolio. There is ample opportunity to shift to different workstreams that the accounting team manages as you grow in your career at Slice.

What you'll do:

• Record and reconcile cash, credit card and invoice transactions on a daily basis
• Assist with the monthly close processes and maintenance of monthly support schedules for cash, credit cards, invoices, loans, prepaids, accruals and accounts payable.
• Analyze monthly financial data to ensure all monthly activity has been recorded and reconciled, and provide explanation for month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter fluctuations.
• Support the US, statutory and tax audits by providing supporting documentation needed to the appropriate requestors. 
• Collaborate with other departments within accounting and the rest of the business to gather information needed to properly record all transactions.
• Perform operational analysis as directed by management.
• Proactively identify process inefficiencies and lead/assist in developing and executing process improvement initiatives/solutions.
• Assist with implementation of accounting procedures and controls for new workstreams as the business scales.
• Provide support to finance management and other internal customers as needs arise, including ad-hoc financial analysis, and special projects.

Please note this is a full-time position and working hours are 9:00-17:00, Monday through Friday, and may require a shift in hours to accommodate meetings in US time zones from time-to-time.

These are the core competencies this role calls for: 

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting and Finance (required) 
• Strong understanding of accounting theory
• 1+ years of accounting experience
• Full professional fluency in English
• Strong Excel skills, including data tables, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from US-based manager to accomplish objectives 
• Experience working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with online accounting software, preferably Netsuite
• Highly detail-oriented and organized in work
• Ability to meet assigned deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external constituents to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
