JOB SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant at Sky Zone is a key player in the accounting department and is responsible for the record keeping of the company’s insurance program, many of the Company’s indirect tax filings (e.g., sales tax, property tax, etc.), and several crucial month-end tasks. This position reports to the Director of Accounting and is a full-time position working remotely. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or another related field required 

• 1-3 years of previous accounting experience 

• Previous indirect tax experience  

• NetSuite experience  

• Previous experience with a company point-of-sale system 

• Experience reconciling bank accounts 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) required 

• High attention to detail required 

• Excellent communication skills – this position will interact heavily with franchisees 

• Ability to own a process with minimal direction on a day-to-day basis 

• Deadline driven 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Record keeping and reconciliations associated with the Company’s insurance program 

• Month-end journal entries, as assigned 

• Reconciliation of company bank accounts, as assigned 

• Other month-end reconciliations, as assigned 

• Prepare reconciliations between sales tax filing software and accounting system 

• Pull point of sale reporting for import into sales tax filing software 

• Use tax calculations for out of state purchases 

• Prepare business personal property tax filings 

• Prepare business license renewals and applications 

• Assist Tax Director with preparation of miscellaneous local tax returns 

• Assist Tax Director with additional accounting/tax objectives as necessary 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This position requires the ability to remain stationary at a computer desk for extended periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Compensation range is $85-90k based on qualifications, experience, and performance.  Full-time employees at CircusTrix enjoy a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401k plan with company matching.  Eligibility for 401k is based on age and tenure requirements.
