Position Summary
Effectual is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant I to join our finance team in Jersey City, NJ. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and reporting the organization's financial data with accuracy and integrity. Key duties include assisting in the preparation of the financial statements, conducting account analyses, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP.

Essential Skills and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-4 years of enterprise-level accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.
• Experience with financial technology platforms, such as Financial Force or similar.
• Superb attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
• Strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work on-site in Jersey City office 1-2 days per week
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience
• CPA or CMA certification.
• Public accounting experience a plus
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000
Salary Range for this position: $80,000-$90,000
