Position Summary
A growing professional services firm is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role will assist with general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities.

Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and supporting documentation
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
Process and review accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Support external audits and tax preparation by gathering required documentation
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and discrepancies
Qualifications of the Staff Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
At least 2 years of accounting experience preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective communication and teamwork skills
