Position Summary:
It is the responsibility of the stackers to insure first quality packing and proper separation of colors and styles, as well as proper yardage amounts in each box.
Educational requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Skills and experience:
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
Essential duties:
- Place proper amount of tiles in boxes according to boxing specifications
- Insure that all tiles are flat and square in box.
- Stack pallets of carpet tile for bin box shipments when scheduled
- Check run schedules for special packaging or stack-off instructions
- Process boxes through the box machine insuring proper sealing without
- box damage.
- Insure that box machine is clean and in proper working order
- Be alert for quality defects such as short cut and bevels prior to boxing
- Move all off-quality tiles to the reinspection table.
- Maintain housekeeping
- Comply with safety rules
- Comply with environmental regulations
- Be aware of departmental Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed.
- Understand and support the Interface commitment to sustainability.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical demands:
- Standing throughout 8-10 hour shift
- Lift up to 60 pounds repeatedly
Work environment:
- Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
