Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a SSG Driver within the Test Team function of the Civil Aerospace Assembly & Test organisation in Derby. We’re looking for an individual to join the team in the Production Test Department reporting to the Production Leaders.

The Production Test department is responsible for the rigging and testing of both new build and MRO engines.

What you will be doing:

As a SSG Driver you will be working both alone and as part of a team to complete daily duties, within a modern team-based environment.

  • Driving a variety of plant equipment to move Test kit.
  • Prep engine runners ready for rigging and derigging.
  • Responsible for managing oils across the beds.
  • Maintenance and cleaning of test slave equipment.
  • Fuelling engine transporters.

Preferred Requirements:

  • You will be keen to work safely in a modern team-based environment and possess a "can do" mentality, good problem-solving skills
  • Experience driving plant equipment is preferable, as is being qualified as a driver trainer.
  • You will have a professional and flexible attitude with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.
  • It is essential that you have an up-to-date working knowledge of health, safety and environmental procedures, including COSHH.
