SSBI Data Quality & Compliance Oversight

SSBI Data Quality & Compliance Oversight is a role that reports to the SSBI Chief Data Officer. The role is responsible ensuring data quality (DQ) is in line with BCBS239 requirements and is responsible for overseeing the execution of the Risk Data Aggregation and Reporting (RDAR) Framework within SSBI business units and corporate functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive risk excellence across technology and the organization by ensuring robust DQ management and enhancing data collection processes
  • Own and refine DQ Standard, Principles, Requirements and Guidelines
  • Own, operate and measure DQ Issue Management process
  • Implement DQ and Compliance Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators
  • Manage data quality monitoring mechanisms and associated reports and dashboards
  • Implement and maintain tools to automate data quality checks and monitoring processes in SSBI.
  • Work with IT to ensure system capabilities support ongoing data quality needs.
  • Partner with Risk and Finance teams on Data Quality and Compliance Management and oversight
  • Own the RDAR Framework and oversee its execution and compliance
  • Ensure all new business and IT programs maintain or enhance BCBS239 compliance

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Ability to own, manage and deliver large initiatives
  • Deep BCBS239 experience and understanding
  • Strong experience in leading dealing with regulatory expectation
  • Passionate about the value of date and a data driven culture
  • Strong inter-personal and leadership skills
  • Hands-on experience with data governance and data quality tools
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Finance).
  • 10+ years of experience in the financial industry, preferably in capital markets or financial markets infrastructure, thereof 3+ in data governance and management.
  • Strong problem solver: strong analytical skills (e.g. breaking up & structuring complex problems into manageable pieces.
