We are looking for Networking Switch Verification engineers passionate about building the next generation Ethernet switching chips. You should be a highly motivated self-starter eager to solve real-world problems. This is a unique opportunity to influence the networking industry.
Join this world-class team responsible for developing the most widely deployed, industry-leading merchant Ethernet switching silicon. In this highly visible role, you will be challenged with responsibilities including:
- You will be a key player in designing and developing verification suites and their environment.
- You will be responsible for working with industry-leading architects and designers to understand the features and architecture, and to develop a test plan and design and implement a test suite.
- Authoring detailed system & chip specifications and documentation
- Working cross-functionally with the Design team in defining and implementing the new protocol functions in hardware
- Develop detailed architecture models in C, C++, and Python
Qualifications:
- Total engineering minimum experience required is typically a BSCS/EE degree and 8 years of experience, an MSCS/EE degree and 6 years of experience, in network system or chip architecture, or equivalent.
- Software experience with strong C/C++/Python coding skills is essential
- Experience with control/data plane forwarding of at least one of the following protocols: OSPF, RIP, BGP, VRRP, MPLS, VPLS, TRILL, GRE, VXLAN, GPE is required
- Experience in Architecture modeling and system validation is considered a plus
- Experience with Layer 2 and/or Layer 3 technologies like Ethernet, IPv4/IPv6/MPLS/VxLAN is a strong advantage
- Ideal candidate has a systems background with some chip background (S/W or H/W) in the Network Switching industry
- Good software background to develop architecture models for next-generation switches
- Micro-architecture experience is an advantage
