Hourly base pay rate is $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

As a Sr. Vehicle Operations Specialist, you’ll play a critical, client‑facing role at the center of our vehicle operations ecosystem. Serving as the primary liaison between clients, auctions, carriers, and internal delivery teams, you’ll ensure our services are executed smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This is a hands‑on, relationship‑driven role for a subject matter expert who thrives in fast‑paced environments, enjoys solving complex operational challenges, and takes pride in delivering exceptional client experiences.

You’ll act as a portfolio manager and key point of contact for operational execution—anticipating needs, resolving issues, and leading escalations with confidence. Leveraging data, tools, and cross‑functional partnerships, you’ll help scale our capabilities into new service offerings and industry segments while continuously improving how we work.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a trusted advocate for clients, auctions, carriers, and internal partners

  • Own operational execution for your book of business, including issue resolution and escalations

  • Collaborate closely with Logistics, BPO partners, carriers, drivers, and field teams to meet and exceed SLAs

  • Use dashboards, tools, and reports to identify exceptions, remediate out‑of‑compliance inventory, and drive resolution

  • Communicate clearly and effectively across cross‑functional teams to align on priorities and client needs

  • Partner with the DHL Control Tower to ensure seamless coordination between planning teams and field operations

  • Contribute to requirements gathering and operational readiness for new products, services, and lines of business

  • Prepare and present operational metrics for business reviews and performance discussions

  • Champion continuous improvement by providing feedback on processes, systems, and workflows

  • Serve as the go‑to subject matter expert for your assigned area and portfolio

  • A data‑driven mindset with experience using tools, dashboards, and reporting to drive decisions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED required and 5 years of experience in the automotive industry and/or logistics field. 

  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identify issues and problems. 

  • Track record of taking initiative in managing multiple priorities and working effectively under pressure when facing extremely short deadlines. 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Good judgment, discretion, tact, and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization  

  • Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment. 

  • Ability to work independently and to undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance. 

  • Adapting approach and comfortable with ambiguity. 

  • Must be adept at handling complex situations and businesses.

  • Occasional exposure to weather conditions and noise.
