Sr. Validation Analyst

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Experience in writing complex SQL queries and experience with any data visualization tool is preferable e.g., Tableau, Power BI

  • Good exposure of Software Testing methodologies, Implementation of Data Lakes, Data warehouse/ETL projectsBig Data projects in On-Premises & Cloud Environments

  • Experienced in SAS applications and Python Programming

  • Ability to write SQL queries to conduct data validations and probe quality issues with data

  • Experience in Project Delivery Methodologies: SDLC, Iterative, Agile, Scrum, Kanban

  • Experience in ALM Tools like JIRA, TFS (Azure Devops) & Confluence

  • Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes

  • Working with internal staff including technical staff, project and product managers and applications developers to assist with the review of project specifications

  • Performing other duties as assigned and deemed necessary

  • Attending and participating in applicable company-sponsored training

  • Educating/Training other validation services team members to ensure quality deliverables

  • Reading, understanding, and adhering to organizational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

  • Establishing and enforcing departmental standards

  • Exploring new opportunities to add value to organization and departmental processes

  • Knowledge on data quality fundamentals and data governance concepts

  • Hands-on experience with all levels of testing includes Smoke Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing and Regression Testing

  • Knowledge of PL-SQL, PySpark & SQL, on framing and tuning the Queries so that it covers all the data scenarios

  • Accountable for high quality and on time delivery for task assigned

  • Perform RCA and CAPA for quality issues, and Perform risk assessment and mitigate risk

  • Experienced in ETL tools like Informatica Power Center, SAAS, PL-SQL

  • Experienced in Test Data preparation to check the scenarios

  • Loading\Running the End-to-End jobs and verifying the Data loading from Source to Reports\Dashboards

  • Involved in end-to-end Testing

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently as well as in a team

  • Coordinating the creation and execution of automated test scripts in support of application releases

  • Creating associated validation documentation using defined documentation methods

  • Evaluating and directing validation and quality assurance approaches

  • Assisting in the generation of status reports

  • Tracking all software versions, features, bugs, and validation efforts for all software created and/or modified by the Development teams

  • Good knowledge in MS Office Tools

  • Developing and utilizing test data sets

  • Creating and executing manual test scrips which includes testing software applications for quality and functionality using defined validation protocol and testing techniques

  • Creating associated validation documentation using defined documentation methods

  • Working with application developers in resolving issues and retesting applications

  • Good verbal and written communication

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree required in computer sciences, or equivalent and relevant work experience in a software Testing environment

  • Around 7 to 10 years of experience in Software Quality Testing

  • In-depth understanding of software quality assurance, preferably in a Clinical Data environment

  • Ability to write complex SQL queries to conduct data validations and probe quality issues with data

  • Experience in Database objects (Snowflake preferred)

  • Strong experience in Project Delivery Methodologies: SDLC, Iterative, Agile, Scrum, Kanban

  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) testing methodology and document management.\

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PPT etc.)

  • Strong track record of creating test plans and writing test cases based on product requirements

  • Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements

  • Experience in test automation and testing frameworks (preferred)

  • Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness (preferred)

  • Comfortable in communicating cross-functionality teams and across management levels

  • Experience with web-based SAS platforms (preferred)

  • Working knowledge of the drug development process including knowledge of FDA requirements for GxPs and 21 CFR Part 11 required

  • Knowledge of cloud-based testing preferred

  • knowledge in programming like Python (preferred)

  • Demonstrates required verbal and written communication skills including ability to communicate remotely
