About the Role:

The Senior UX Designer I leads design strategy for a business or product line and is highly skilled in design tools and methodologies. This role includes informal mentorship and collaboration with other designers.

Responsibilities:

  • Understands customer use cases and advocates for user needs.

  • Aligns and inspires cross-functional teams around customer goals.

  • Creates processes to discover customer needs and design options.

  • Coaches teams to ensure user-centered outcomes.

  • Engages customers in product innovation that delivers value and growth.

  • Challenges the status quo constructively and encourages new ideas.

  • Recognizes and incorporates contributions from others.

  • Demonstrates mastery of user-centered design processes and interaction design.

  • Collaborates with UX Researchers to integrate user insights into design.

  • Applies Human Factors Engineering and other UCD methodologies.

  • Manages UCD deliverables and contributes to product strategy.

  • Identifies data gaps and collaborates to address them.

  • Uses analytics and insights to inform design decisions.

  • Establishes key metrics and regularly tests designs with users.

  • Iterates based on research and data analysis.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Based in Mexico City with availability for onsite work 2–4 days per week.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

  • 6–8 years of experience in UX design.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies and design tools (e.g., Azure, Storybook, Figma).

  • Expertise in Agile frameworks.

  • Ability to mentor junior designers and collaborate effectively with technical teams.

  • Experience producing designs for multiple platforms.
