Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation’s ("FMIC") Marketing team, you’ll support web design efforts for Fender.com, JacksonGuitars.com and Presonus.com and help to evolve our global digital experience through thoughtful storytelling, modern UX, and scalable design systems.

We are searching for a Sr. UI/UX Web Designer. This role requires a design guru who thrives in fast-paced environments, interprets incoming requirements with confidence, and can drive both strategy and execution with attention to detail and craft.

We place product discovery, customer engagement and brand elevation at the forefront. You’ll be working closely with the Marketing web team to define, design and deliver a best-in-class direct-to-consumer experience for our customers and revenue potential globally. The role demands digital web design depth, with principled, empathetic and innovative thinking, sound judgment, and a refusal to settle on a “just OK” result. We require a high bar for quality and design, and design approached with a player-centric mentality throughout.

Essential Functions: 

  • Support web design across Fender’s Shopify website ecosystem
  • Translate business goals and user needs into intuitive, user-centered design solutions
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and the creative team to ensure continuity in delivery of product design expectations
  • Evolve and scale responsive design systems across web touchpoints
  • Contribute to and champion the refreshed Fender design language
  • Present design work clearly and persuasively to stakeholders
  • Balance large initiatives with iterative optimizations (e.g. PDP/PLP updates, merch modules)

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of web design experience, with a strong UI/ UX background in supporting global corporate websites that combine brand storytelling with eCommerce
  • Strong UX skills, including information architecture, user flows, wireframes, and problem solving
  • Excellent visual design skills with experience collaborating closely with brand/creative teams
  • Experience working in Shopify and/or content management systems like Contentful
  • Proficiency in Figma and familiarity with Jira workflows
  • Ability to self-direct and confidently present work in a lean, cross-functional environment
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity through design
  • Bonus Points: 
    • Familiarity with Baymard Institute best practices and accessibility standards
    • Passion for music or experience working with global consumer brands
    • Experience designing lifestyle commerce-oriented experiences 
    • Multi-platform/multi-screen experience
