Sr. Test Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for leading and executing test strategy, test development, and validation activities to ensure product performance, reliability, and compliance with requirements. This role works closely with R&D, design, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers to define test plans, develop test methods, analyze results, and drive continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Development

  • Define and develop test strategies, test plans, and test specifications based on product requirements and standards

  • Design, develop, and validate test fixtures, test methods, and test procedures

  • Lead qualification, verification, and validation (V&V) testing activities

  • Review product specifications and identify test coverage gaps and risks

Test Execution & Analysis

  • Execute complex performance, functional, environmental, reliability, and stress tests

  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and determine root causes of failures

  • Generate clear and concise test reports with conclusions and recommendations

  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) based on test results

Technical Leadership

  • Serve as technical expert for test methodologies, equipment, and standards

  • Mentor and guide junior test engineers and lab technicians

  • Participate in design reviews and provide test‑related inputs and risk assessments

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure testability and product robustness

Equipment & Lab Management

  • Specify, procure, and maintain test equipment and instrumentation

  • Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and usage of test tools

  • Improve lab efficiency, automation, and test capability

Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure testing complies with internal standards, industry regulations, and customer requirements

  • Support audits, certifications, and customer technical reviews

  • Follow and promote safety, quality, and data‑integrity practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)

  • 5–8+ years of experience in test engineering, validation, or verification roles

  • Strong knowledge of test methodologies, data analysis, and failure analysis

  • Hands‑on experience with test equipment, sensors, and data acquisition systems

  • Ability to write clear technical reports, procedures, and specifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in R&D, product development, or reliability engineering environments

  • Familiarity with international standards

  • Experience with automated testing, scripting, or test software tools

  • Background in reliability testing, environmental testing, or safety compliance

  • Project leadership or technical lead experience
