We are looking for an experienced Sr. Sourcing Manager with proven background in sourcing complex infrastructure technology (i.e., cloud, data center, end user services, associated software and services, etc) and associated Services across a global supply chain.  This role leads all aspects of strategic sourcing, from category assessment and planning, vendor due diligence, RFx, negotiations, contracting and participation in related vendor management activities across multiple Lines of Business. 

About the role

What you need to know:

  • Accountable for competitively bidding, negotiating price and related business terms and relaying said terms into logical and meaningful contracts that are in compliance with the policies, procedures and contracting principles.
  • Provide key negotiation and pricing advice to assigned Lines of Business on each transaction with an emphasis on delivering bottom-line financial savings and/or risk minimization.
  • Effectively manage complex projects including: LOB expectations, leadership involvement, internal/ external communications, deliverable(s) timing, and executive reporting.
  • Operate effectively at all levels and across matrixed environments, both internally and externally, including with CXOs.
  • Partner closely with our internal legal, risk and finance teams towards the successful completion of integrate negotiations and initiatives.
  • Partner closely with key business stakeholders. Develop and share category-specific operational measurements. Respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain necessary sourcing system data, metrics and spend/savings analytics in support of departmental reporting and policy and procedure requirements.
  • Ensure consistency in supplier engagements. Carry out all supplier due diligence as required.
  • Work closely with regional teams and clients on local, regional and sometimes global project activities.
  • Continually develop subject matter expertise. Remain current on competition, category trends and industry practices.
  • Actively participate/lead Sourcing & Procurement initiatives that drive the continuous improvement of the Sourcing function at Corebridge
  • Demonstrate understanding of the client’s business, objectives, and constraints when addressing their needs. Respond to clients with the appropriate sense of urgency and importance.
  • Build effective and trusted relationships with internal clients and vendors.
  • Create a portfolio approach towards select key spend categories.
  • High energy and enthusiasm required to contribute to and help shape an evolving Corebridge Sourcing & Procurement organization.
  • Capable of exercising forceful yet sensible project management techniques.
  • Incorporate different perspectives and experiences of clients and colleagues to generate better ideas, solve problems and improve performance.
  • Affable, with a high tolerance for ambiguity.
  • Collaborating with Supplier Diversity teams.
  • Achieve cost reduction/savings target

What we’re looking for:

Experience:

  • 8+ years sourcing experience
  • 5+ years of experience in sourcing technology (Infrastructure, Cloud, Hardware, SaaS, Software, and associated Services)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial, interpersonal and team skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in teams to deliver results
  • Excellent communication, writing, facilitation, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Develop reporting to track the progress of the initiatives
  • Excellent experience with Ariba, Fieldglass, and MS Office products.
  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work with Global Cross-Functional teams and operate in a Flexible work schedule.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent field.
