This position is based in our Buffalo, NY office with the opportunity to work up to two days remote per week.

Our team is made up of passionate professionals who are committed to driving the success of Cisco's technical enablement force. We thrive on collaboration, innovation, and delivering exceptional learning experiences to our partner community. As a Sr. Technical Enablement Engineer, you will provide pre-sales consultation, training, demonstration, and education to partners to help them build and/or enhance their practice. You will lead our enablement efforts across our Data Center and AI portfolio. This is achieved by helping partners grow their business through new and emerging vendors, products, and services (i.e. solutions) ultimately accelerating their success with Ingram Micro.

 

In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with partners and vendors by working openly and collaboratively to understand and plan for business needs. This role focuses on educating partners about leading IT solutions in a way that helps them build strong practices in key areas. It’s about raising the reseller’s technical know-how so they’re better equipped to win business with relevant, well-aligned solutions. Success also depends on understanding how the partner’s sales organization operates and engaging the right stakeholders to drive meaningful collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:


They should have a well-rounded understanding of complete technology solutions and be able to do the following: 

·       Install, configure, and maintain equipment required to build working solution outcomes leveraging multi-vendor deployments.

·       Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations explaining solutions and services to customers and end users.

·       Plan, design, and demo solutions to meet customer needs/requirements and align solutions with existing customer initiatives and infrastructure. 

·       Develop and deliver technical enablement content (labs, workshops, demos, presentations) for Cisco’s Data Center and AI solutions.

·       Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) for internal teams, partners, and customers.

·       Collaborate with vendor and engineering teams to stay current on roadmap and innovations.

·       Lead technical deep dives, proof-of-concepts, and hands-on labs for AI workloads and data center architectures.

·       Support strategic initiatives around AI infrastructure, GPU acceleration, and hybrid cloud deployments.

·       Analyze enablement effectiveness and continuously improve content and delivery methods.

·       Represent BTC in global forums, partner events, and customer engagements.

 

Technical Skills/Experience: 
 

·       Hands-on proficiency with an array of technology solutions in the areas of Data Center and Cloud virtualization, Network infrastructure, Cyber Security, and complementary software integrations

·       Translate complex technical concepts into actionable enablement strategies.

·       Understands market awareness that differentiates industry solutions (Security, Cloud, Data Center, Networking).

·       Strong presentation experience (in person, virtual)

o   Interfacing with technical, sales, and executive personas

·       Should hold fundamental industry certifications or accreditations aligned to technologies or Cisco.

 

Data Center Specific Expertise:

·       Deep understanding of Cisco UCS and Nexus platforms.

·       Experience with data center networking (VXLAN, EVPN, ACI).

·       Familiarity with storage architectures (SAN, NAS, NVMe over Fabrics).

·       Knowledge of virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere (ESXi), KVM, Hyper-V).

·       Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Python scripts, Cisco Intersight).

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

·       Linux mastery

·       Cisco certifications (CCNP Data Center, DevNet Professional, etc.).

·       7+ years of experience in technical roles related to data center

·       Minimum 2 years of experience in technical training or facilitation.

·       Experience with AI frameworks and GPU drivers (e.g., NVIDIA) a plus

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,100.00 - $165,100.00 per year.

The ranges above reflect the potential annual base pay across the U.S. for all roles; the applicable base pay range will depend on the candidate’s primary work location, pay grade, and variable compensation plan. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time of hire. New hires starting base pay generally falls in the bottom half (between the minimum and midpoint) of a pay range.
