Job Summary:

Seeking a dynamic individual with a solid background in tax including knowledge of federal, state, and local tax rules and regulations to support various tax planning and compliance functions. About the role: The Senior Tax Analyst role will report to the Director of Tax and is responsible for supporting the Director of Tax in coordinating the company's tax functions including Indirect tax compliance, Corporate tax compliance, Out of State payroll taxes compliance, non-income tax related items, audits, tax planning and strategy. This role is ideal for highly motivated individuals with the ability to hyper-focus and complete tasks and projects to a high degree of success. Responsibilities include: Provide information and work papers for internal and external sources Prepare certain returns or support the return process for property tax, corporate, business licenses, sales and use tax, annual reports, and other tax related items. Must ensure timely and accurate filings to minimize assessments and penalties as well as monitor pre-payments and credits. Must have the ability to analyze GL accounts and tax reports to ensure accurate tax filings and related postings in GL and review monthly tax account reconciliations and provide timely adjustments. Must be able to resolve notices and outstanding issues. Interface with other areas of the tax department, finance, and business partners throughout the organization Support income and non-income tax related audits across all jurisdictions. Research certain business transactions and initiatives that may impact the company's tax positions, strategy, or landscape. Learn the organization's business and contribute to problem resolution when issues identified. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments. Proactively seeks to streamline and document compliance process, and to create efficiencies through automation. Develop and maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process. Ability to provide guidance across all areas of Payroll Tax such as: labor & employment tax regulations, Federal, State, and Local Tax legislations, reciprocity rules, multi-state taxation. Special projects as deemed necessary. A successful Candidate will have the following: BS/BA in Accounting required. Master's degree in Tax or Accounting a plus CPA preferred 3 to 5 years of experience in preparing federal and state corporate income tax returns required; Public accounting experience a plus Strong oral and written communication skills Experience with Microsoft Office Experience with Lawson and Workday a plus. Should exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to analyze large amounts of data and multi-task Excellent organization with attention to detail and follow-up skills, including handling competing priorities and meeting all commitments. Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with a positive attitude. Strive to achieve effective performance within the team with a high degree of enthusiasm Good tax research skills Ability to work independently

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree Accounting or related field

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

    Additional License(s) and Certification(s):

    CPA Preferred

    Minimum 3 years Public Accounting Required
