About the Role:

Neurocrine Biosciences is seeking a hands-on, technically strong Planisware PPM Administrator / Systems Analyst to help build and shape our newly implemented (and rapidly evolving) Planisware Enterprise platform. This is a unique opportunity to influence architecture, standards, and best practices early in our PPM maturity journey. You will work across DEV, TEST, and PROD environments to configure the system, design data structures, build workflows, and ensure high-quality integrations that support portfolio planning, project execution, and strategic decision-making across R&D, PMO, Finance, and IT. Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):

  • Partners with PMO, R&D, IT, and Finance to design scalable PPM system architectures aligned with governance and operational needs
  • Leads technical configuration within Planisware, including model setup, UI/UX configuration, custom dynamic objects, form design, profiles, and permissions
  • Designs data mapping strategies, executes data loads, and manages ongoing data integrity across multiple source systems
  • Develops test plans, executes system testing, supports UAT, and validates configuration against documented requirements
  • Authors and maintains detailed technical documentation, including configuration specs, interface diagrams, workflow logic maps, and support runbooks
  • Evaluates platform enhancements, new features, and impact of Planisware releases; leads technical upgrade planning
  • Implements structured release and change management processes for Planisware environments
  • Provides technical mentorship and acts as a subject-matter expert for colleagues and super-users
  • Ensures Planisware configurations and integrations comply with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, cybersecurity, and data governance requirements
  • Responds rapidly to critical system issues, performs root-cause analysis, and implements preventive measures
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, information systems, or similar technical field and 4+ years of hands-on experience configuring and supporting PPM or enterprise SaaS systems OR
  • Master’s degree and 2+ years related experience
  • Life sciences or regulated industry experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of PPM systems—preferably Planisware Enterprise—including module configuration, operations, data structures, and system administration
  • Workflow design and automation
  • Portfolio and project data modeling
  • Resource capacity modeling logic
  • Financial/object cost structures
  • Permissions, profiles, and security roles
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts; ability to interpret and troubleshoot queries and data flows
  • Experience with APIs, integration frameworks, middleware, and ETL tools (Workato, Boomi, custom API integrations)
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as OBIEE, OBI Publisher, or similar enterprise analytics platforms
  • Familiarity with CSV/flat file processing, batch jobs, scheduling tools, and automated pipelines
  • Understanding of Computer System Validation concepts and GxP requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to technical detail
  • Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to operate independently while aligning to project standards and governance
  • Demonstrated success supporting or leading complex SaaS system deployments

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $103,300.00-$141,000.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
