The Sr Supply Chain Specialist role will be a senior level position within the supply chain new product development functions. This role will engage in advanced data gathering, analytics, and manipulation. The Sr Supply Chain Specialist will regularly conduct benchmarking, market intelligence and supply base research to identify and capture value for the business. This role leads Product Level Projects, NPD Projects and New Product Introductions and will function as a working leader.

YOUR IMPACT:  

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Gather and manipulate data and information and create analytics.

  • Collaborate with all Sales, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing, and Purchasing Category Leaders.

  • Subject matter expert on project and product spend categories.

  • Frequent use of data analytics tools to conduct spend and category data analytics.

  • Advanced and independent critical thinking to formulate project plans and risk mitigation plans. 

  • Knowledge of suppliers and supply markets.

  • Knowledge of supplier relationships management and engagement.

  • Knowledge of product development process and the lifecycle of parts. 

  • Knowledge on the application and timing of long - term supply agreements

  • Understand supply market trends and how they impact the business.

  • Interprets and understand engineering technical drawings.

  • Understand a broad range of categories.

  • Identify, communicate, and manage supply chain risk.

  • Advanced understanding of sourcing process/procedures; support and lead strategic sourcing initiatives.

  • Lead through influence; utilize project management to lead and coordinate programs from concept through launch.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Bachelor’s degree with five (5) or more years of experience within in Supply Chain or a related field.

  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to travel 10-20%.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Category strategy experience within the manufacturing industry.

  • Ability to effectively communicate.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional follow through and attention to detail.

  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills, able to multi-task and prioritize competing requirements and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where requirements are constantly changing.

  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.

WORKNG CONDITIONS:

The following represents general working conditions for this office-based role. Specific conditions may vary depending on business needs and individual circumstances. 

  • This role is primarily performed in a professional office environment with standard lighting, ventilation, and temperature-controlled settings. 
  • Duties are largely sedentary, requiring extended periods of sitting and using a computer and telephone. 
  • Visual acuity to operate a computer and read documents is required, along with auditory ability to participate in virtual and in-person meetings. 
  • Occasional movement within the office environment is necessary, including walking short distances, standing, or reaching for files.

Pay Range:

$82,000.00 - $132,800.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
