The Opportunity  

This position works out of our St Paul, MN location in the New Brighton region in our Abbott Vascular Division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease.

What you’ll do:

The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will plan, direct, and monitor all supply and logistics activities to ensure a cost-effective flow of merchandise from suppliers to customers.

  • Manage day-to-day supply and logistics activities to maximize the efficiency, reliability, timeliness, and cost effectiveness of the organization's supply chain.
  • Manage procurement team of 6 direct reports with a total of 28 in team, including warehouse staff.
  • Activities may include: materials planning and control, procurement, inventory management, storage, warehousing, logistics, transport and distribution.
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures.
  • Allocate resources to meet targets in areas such as transit and delivery times; inventory levels; purchasing, warehousing, and storage costs; and service standards.
  • Liaise with functional and operational area managers (e.g., in customer service, sales and production planning) to ensure supply activities are integrated with other parts of the business.
  • Select and manage ongoing relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to minimize costs and ensure satisfactory standards of service.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop staff to ensure resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met.
  • Responsible for procurement of components for R&D programs.
  • Identify and implement cost-savings projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • 7-9 years with pattern of progressing responsibilities.
  • A good understanding of specified functional area:
    Business Planning
    Financial management
    Inventory management and optimization
    Capacity planning
    Purchasing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%, including internationally.

Preferred Experience

  • Engineering Degree, preferred.
  • Experience in Operational Excellence or Operations, preferred.

The base pay for this position is

$129,300.00 – $258,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
