Northrop Grumman’s Aeronautics Systems sector is seeking a Sr. Staff EW/RF Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL.
The EW engineer in this role will be responsible for one or more of the following:
Leads the planning, coordination, and analysis to support development, integration, test, production, and flight test.
As a technical leader collaborate with leadership on system requirements generation and associated flow down, subsystem design/analysis, and subsystem performance verification including lab and range testing.
Support any stage of the aircraft system life cycle activity such as developing primary designs, integrating into a system, supporting fielding of the system, supporting airworthiness activity, and supporting testing of the systems
Coordinate and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust and maintainable configurations are produced
Ability to determine and develop approaches to solutions within schedule and cost objectives.

Basic Qualifications:
Sr. Staff EW/RF Systems Test Engineer (T06):
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university AND 14 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited university AND 12 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering; or a Ph.D. AND 10 years of related professional/military experience in Engineering.
Active In-Scope DoD Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) - needed to start.
Experience working in lab environment
Experience working with development documents for lab infrastructure
Experience leading a team
Experience in RF, ES, and/or EA applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills for both in-person and written content
Experience engaging directly with internal and external technical and programmatic representatives
Outstanding problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to assimilate new concepts quickly and independently
Demonstrated history of personnel development and successful team engagement
Interest in and track record of providing successful mentorship
Ability to work across multiple geographically separated campuses
Familiarity with RF sensing modalities
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple IPTS
