Join our Global Science & Technology Network as a Senior Specialist, Technology Transfer for Animal Health Vaccines. Our team is focused on delivering site-to-site technology transfers for Large Molecule Animal Health vaccines across our US manufacturing network. The Sr. Specialist will ensure successful site-to site transfer and provide project management support to our US manufacturing sites. Your expertise will ensure on-time, in-budget delivery and compliant, unconstrained supply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support site-to-site technology transfer activities for Large Molecule vaccine processes (drug substance and drug product), assisting transfer leads from scoping/siting through engineering runs, PPQ, and commercial readiness
  • Assist with Block 1 scoping and siting assessments by gathering data, contributing to fit-to-plant and gap analyses, and preparing inputs for decision-making
  • Coordinate day-to-day logistics and cross-functional tasks across Blocks 2–6, maintaining schedules, action trackers, and risk/issue logs; flag delays and help drive follow-ups
  • Draft, organize, and maintain transfer documentation and packages (process descriptions, CQAs/CPPs, control strategy, sampling plans, bill of materials) using standardized methodology and templates
  • Provide technical support in partnership with site SMEs for upstream/downstream operations, formulation, fill-finish, and lyophilization; help compile process information and translate it for receiving sites
  • Serve as a communication hub between donor and receiving site teams and global functions; schedule meetings, prepare agendas/minutes, and ensure clear stakeholder updates
  • Contribute to governance and reporting by updating dashboards, KPIs, and status summaries; consolidate inputs for portfolio visibility and leadership reviews
  • Support continuous improvement by collecting lessons learned, refining tools/training/playbooks, and sharing best practices across the network

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or relevant science/business field
  • 3+ years of experience in vaccine manufacturing within the pharmaceutical/biologics industry
  • Direct exposure to site transfer activities within Large Molecule processes (drug substance and/or drug product)
  • Strong project coordination skills: building timelines, tracking tasks, managing risks/issues, and supporting on-time delivery
  • Working knowledge of pharmaceutical/biologics operations (e.g., upstream/downstream processing, formulation, fill-finish, lyophilization) and cGMP practices
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing sites and cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; skilled at clear reporting and facilitating cross-site meetings

Preferred Skills and Attributes

  • Experience preparing transfer documentation and supporting fit-to-plant assessments and gap closure plans
  • Familiarity with validation and PPQ concepts; understanding of sampling plans and process performance monitoring
  • Ability to support multiple concurrent projects, focus on critical path activities, and contribute to risk-based decision making
  • Proficiency with project and documentation tools (e.g., MS Project/Smartsheet, SharePoint, eQMS/MES/data historians)
  • Willingness to travel to donor and receiving sites as needed

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The salary range for this role is

$94,300.00 - $148,500.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
