Fresenius Medical Care Production Sdn Bhd in Bandar Enstek, Malaysia, has been operating since 2000, focusing in providing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis products and services. The plant was established to support the company's growth in Southeast Asia and was officially expanded as a regional manufacturing hub in September 2017. The plant produces high-quality hemodialysis concentrates and disinfectants as well as Peritoneal dialysis (PD) products, including Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD) solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
• Supports the creation and/or execution of sourcing strategies for the assigned category with the help of Global and Regional Category Managers and Technical Procurement Project Managers,
• Supports cross functional supplier selection activities and management of formal strategic sourcing and RFX processes including supplier identification.
• Performs proposal analysis, including price analyses, "Should Cost" modelling, benchmarking and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Build up RFX template.
• Supports development of negotiation strategy, including targets for costs and key commercial/business terms.
• Evaluates financial stability of suppliers and manages supplier risks as needed.
• Champions use of e-Sourcing, Spend Visibility, and relevant tools within category; leverages and utilizes Auctions where appropriate.
• Support or drive price and contract negotiations, in alignment with Category Management.
• Other tasks assigned by line manager.
• Support on selecting suitable suppliers.Mainly for electrical components and EMS manufacture in AP. Build up AP potential supplier competency matrix.
• Support on guiding and instructing suppliers a qualified manufacture process for FMC parts.
• Drive the deployment of early supplier involvement.
• Identity opportunities in the new product design process through target costing and managing cost drivers and data sources to improve the design decision making.
• Identity and resolve materials / assembly issues that impact time -to-market, cost, quality, and negotiates cost, technical, quality, environmental terms and conditions with suppliers.
• Other tasks assigned by manager.
Your Profile:
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in sourcing, supplier selection and purchasing within a multinational company; project management experience is preferred.
• Strong financial and business acumen with capabilities in category management, strategic thinking, innovative mindset, strategic sourcing, sustainability, and risk management.
• Proven expertise in advanced negotiation and contracting, project management, and building collaborative relationships.
• Highly proficient in data analysis, digital tools, and technology. • Strong end-to-end knowledge of procurement processes.
• Experience in operating various ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills with strong command of both written and spoken English.
• Good negotiation and communication skills with certain economic and legal knowledge.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team, delivering assignments efficiently.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Familiarity with the medical device industry is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.
