The Senior Software DevOps Engineer codes software applications based on business requirements. The Senior Software Engineer work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Software DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Microsoft Blazor Server applications, REST APIs, and distributed processing systems in support of enterprise DevOps operations. This role requires a strong engineering mindset, attention to quality, and the ability to guide and mentor team members within remote and cross-functional teams.

This role will require an in-office presence minimum 2-3 days per week in- office in one of the following locations:

  • Louisville – KY

  • Boston, MA

  • Washington, DC/Rosslyn, VA

  • Tampa, FL

  • Dallas - TX

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable REST APIs and distributed processing systems to support enterprise DevOps operations.

  • Standardize and enforce quality assurance procedures for software, including overseeing testing, debugging, and developing fixes for reported issues.

  • Research and resolve complex technical complaints; make recommendations and implement adjustments to address software-related concerns.

  • Apply software engineering principles to solve moderately complex to complex challenges, focusing on CI/CD, pipeline governance, and developer productivity.

  • Participate in the creation, optimization, and versioning of Azure DevOps YAML pipeline templates and reusable workflows to ensure consistency, security, and compliance.

  • Guide developers in resolving technical problems, promote best practices, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Enhance end-user workflows by gaining a deep understanding of application usage and identifying opportunities for process improvement.

  • Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and adhere to established testing protocols.

  • Participate in SCRUM meetings and Agile development practices to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

  • Troubleshoot internal systems issues for custom software solutions tailored to service industries.

  • Collaborate effectively within remote and cross-functional teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

5+ year's of hands-on, relevant work experience in the following areas:

  • C# and PowerShell

  • TypeScript, Python, and/or Java

  • Extensive experience with REST API development and distributed processing systems.

  • Proficiency in Azure DevOps, including YAML pipeline creation and optimization.

  • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and pipeline governance.

  • Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Willingness to support a broad spectrum of cloud native and on-premises software platforms

  • Ability to guide and mentor developers and promote best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$106,900 - $147,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
