The Financial Integrations team builds integrations that powers the data transfer between Workday and a variety of external providers. About the Role

As a senior engineer on the Financial Integrations team you will lead projects in building integrations using Workday Studio. You will collaborate with product managers, developers, automators and quality engineers. You will participate in team responsibilities like code reviews, build monitoring, production support and on-call rotations.

• You have a strong software engineering background and a proven track record of delivering high quality products at scale into production.

• You have a growth mindset with continuous innovation, and you value test automation and performance engineering

• You are comfortable working alongside our product and architecture organizations to clarify and prune requirements, delivering value incrementally and frequently

• You have the ability to balance priorities and make the right tradeoffs in feature content and timely delivery of features, while ensuring customer success and technology leadership for the company

• You have the ability to convert a complex business problem into a solvable technical design using best practices.

• Proficient in leading technical initiatives, designing complex systems, and ensuring the scalability and maintainability of software products

• You have the mindset to step in and ask “what can I do to help?” to propel the team or technology forward without prompting.

• You are proactive and able to deliver on initiatives that are crucial for team’s success

• You demonstrate the interpersonal skills needed to positively influence important issues or decisions in a multi-functional environment

• You have the ability to communicate technical complexity in simple terms to both technical and nontechnical audiences

• You have an ownership mindset and take initiatives to continuously improve the system. 

Basic Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience with Workday Studio in building integrations with Workday

• 8+ years of software development experience using object-oriented programming languages like Java and familiarity with design patterns

• Proficiency in test automation, quality engineering

• Strong experience in functional testing of complex systems, including edge cases and failure scenarios.

• Proficiency with XML, XSLT, XPath, WSDL etc

• Proficiency with API development using REST, SOAP

• Experience supporting automated testing in continuous integration and delivery environments. (Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar).

• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.

• Proficient with object data modeling and UML diagrams

• Proficiency with performance measurement tools like Gatling 

• Familiarity with security analysis like threat modeling etc … 

• Proficient in writing technical design documents and collaborating within a software development team

• Comfortable working on initiatives that involve collaborating with multiple teams. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science

Other Qualifications:

• Experience working in an agile/scrum environment.

• Experience with AI tools is a plus

• Experience in ERP application development is a plus

• Experience supporting team members career growth and development
