Your Opportunity: Venture Solutions (a Taylor Company) is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to join the Venture Solutions eServices team As a Software Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that meet our clients' needs. Your expertise in programming languages, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities will contribute to the success of our projects. 

Your Responsibilities:  

  • Design, develop, implement and maintain software and database solutions 

  • Developing solutions for a variety of technical problems 

  • Work closely with other software developers as part of a distributed team on increasingly complex technical initiatives 

  • Work with software teams to develop and test software applications and systems 

  • Assist with writing technical and support documentation 

  • Take part in code and technical review processes 

  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software 

  • 3rd level support of existing software 

You Must Have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.  

  • 5+ years engineering experience, with solid level experience in C#. .Net, ASP.NET, .Net Core, Entity Framework and ORM Libraries 

  • 5+ years working with SQL, SSRS and Ado.Net   

  • Experience with Azure cloud platforms, including deployment and integration 

  • Strong understanding of API development  

  • Experience in common development best practices, including code reviews, CI/CD, and version control (Git)  

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills  

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  

  • Desire to lead and collaborate with Developers, Business Analysts, and QA testers 

We Would Also Prefer:  

  • Experience integrating with third-party APIs and services 

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments 

  • Background in performance tuning and application security best practices 

  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development (TDD) 

  • React, Node.js 

The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $100,000 - $110,000. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. The range listed is just one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package for employees.
