SOFTWARE DEVELOPER SENIOR

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Software Developer Senior, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the IRS CFO. You will play a crucial role in:
assuring the team develops software and procedures that meet the IRS CFO payroll accounting objectives.
assure accurate and timely posting of payroll detail data to the accounting system of record (Integrated Financial System - IFS) as well as responding to queries from the IRS Financial Plan Managers and GAO.
As a Software Developer Senior you will:
● respond to client requests by researching, designing, developing, and/or modifying enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
● meet with team members on a daily basis to discuss current client priorities and client requests for service over and above software changes.
● receive assignments and work with team to respond to client questions on payroll accounting and other items as identified.
● act as a partner with client financial management staff to assure all payroll accounting and payroll finance data is accurate and delivered timely including responding to questions initiated by GAO audits.
● use experience as a Software Developer Senior to provide answers to client and to guide staff on 'how to' provide answers to client staff.
● utilize SAS, ISPF and other mainframe tools as well as Microsoft Office tools to respond to client queries on accounting issues.
● The AINFC Team are all teleworkers in different areas of the country. The candidate must understand how to initiate and conduct TEAMS meetings and chats.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: a degree in Computer Science or Finance with a technical specialization
● Experience: 15+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: COBOL/SAS/JCL/ISPF/CA-ENDEVOR/CONTROL products
● Security clearance level: Must have or ability to achieve an MBI
● US citizenship or green card required
● Role requirements: analytic, methodic and meticulous attitude toward assignments. And a willingness to accept stretch outside of your comfort zone.
