Position Summary:
This position is responsible for Quality Service Manager topics, KPI’s, non-conformities relating to the company’s strategic/direct customers. This includes the job functions listed below.
Key Accountabilities:
- Primary point of contact for assigned customers on Quality topics.
- Guide the company towards exceeding respective customer quality metrics. This includes tracking and reporting customer Quality KPIs; identifying improvement areas; and working with stakeholders to identify and implement corrective measures.
- Investigate product failures (found at enclosure vendors, customer complaints and issues logged in various platforms along the site installation process.) to determine validity of claims and determine the source/causer of non-conformances.
- Use 8D/A3 methodology to collaborate with responsible departments in determining root causes and implementing long-term corrective actions.
- Update the status of quality topics on respective customer platforms as well as on local tracking tools.
- Represent Rolls-Royce Solutions at customer quality meetings, prepare and present periodic quality reports as needed.
- Carry out product inspections from time to time, including First of Kind inspections and product audits.
- Continually improve and document processes for your assigned customers.
- Keep management updated of progress, developments, and pending problems.
- Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
- Perform special projects as required
Basic Requirements:
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time
- Bachelors’ degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing engineering plus 5 years of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing or quality engineering experience with large industrial equipment or 9 years of mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, or quality engineering experience with large industrial equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge and proven application of 8D methodology.
- Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of large industrial equipment.
- Strong knowledge of quality control, raw materials, manufacturing processes, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of large industrial equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork
- Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite
- Familiar with plant operations and equipment
- Knowledge of engine and genset components and products
- Knowledge of genset performance requirements
- Knowledge of gauge and test equipment
