What You Will Contribute:
 

Job Summary:

The Senior SEC Reporting and Technical Accountant ensures accurate financial reporting in compliance with SEC regulations and U.S.  GAAP.  This role also leads technical accounting initiatives, maintains accounting policies, and oversees revenue recognition under ASC 606.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual SEC filings, including reviewed and audited reports.

  • Prepare and file necessary equity-related forms in compliance with SEC regulations.

  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors on the quarterly reviews and annual audit, implementing any necessary changes to be U.S. GAAP compliant, with minimal to no audit differences.

  • Coordinate with external tax accountants to facilitate data gather for quarterly tax compliance

  • Prepare or provide data for tax-related workpapers (e.g., state apportionment, 162m, deferred revenue, R&D credits).

  • Update and maintain Company Accounting Policy Manual in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Partner with site accounting teams to ensure policy compliance and accurate financial reporting.

  • Maintain and update the Company’s revenue recognition policy.

  • Review and document key customer contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and Company revenue policies.

  • Perform quarterly and annual revenue testing and analysis, including standalone selling price and timing of revenue recognition.

  • Assist with complex accounting areas during month-end close (e.g., equity, warranty, SaaS).

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a strong focus on technical accounting and financial reporting.

  • CPA certification required.

Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with SEC reporting, including preparation of 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP, especially revenue recognition under ASC 606.

  • Experience with accounting policy development and documentation.

  • Exposure to equity accounting, including stock-based compensation and related SEC filings.

  • Collaboration with external auditors and tax advisors for compliance and reporting.

  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and financial reporting tools.

  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
