Job Description

Job Purpose:

To be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects and ensure all the assigned projects are delivered on scope, on time, and on budget, and aligned with company policy and process, with high levels of customer satisfaction.

You will report to

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for successfully planning, controlling, and managing major customer projects that require the commitment of significant skills and resources.
  • Manage large project teams that include lead engineer, site manager, administrative support, and third-party vendors.
  • Manage multi-function and multi-vendor efforts to plan and implement multiple, integrated system solutions to customers' complex projects.

Do:

  • The project team was set up with support from the engineering center or the application center manager.
  • Implement appropriate project management process & tools of the company to ensure all projects are delivered on scope, on time, and on budget with high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Define and determine the role of project management in each project, including specific roles and responsibilities for each project member.
  • Prepare communication plan and related project status reports to key stakeholders to provide project updates on activities and deliverables, as well as risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Define and manage overall change control processes and quality assurance aspects of the project to ensure project success.
  • Define and manage the overall project risk identification and mitigation process through interaction with project stakeholders.
  • Identify all project barriers and identify strategies and approaches to overcome these barriers.
  • Complete and manage project activities using an industry-standard project management process and approach to ensure a consistent approach to project completion with other similar projects within the organization.
  • Manage the Five Project Management Process Groups flow from one phase into another. Beginning with Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control, and Close.
  • Manage the 9 Knowledge areas of Project Management on each project, including:
  • Scope, Time, Cost, Resources, Risk, Communication, Project Integration, Procurement, and Quality.
  • Coach & provide feedback to project team members on their performance to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure the assigned proposal have right commitment on cost and schedule.
  • Have a weekly plan and report to key stakeholders on time.
  • Ensure the assigned project follow iPM standard.
  • Support Proposal Review to ensure cost and schedule are committed.
  • Leverage various resources to ensure the project team to meet project requirements defined in the sales contract.
  • Manage team performance to develop team capability and motivate the team.
  • Work with the Application Center Manager to make project manpower forecasting and balance.
  • Conduct a periodic Project Review schedule by PMO.

Educational Qualifications/ Work Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent knowledge;
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Discrete automation or application engineering capacity project management experience.
  • Project experience in the industries of Automotive and Tire is preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated success at simultaneously managing multiple complex customer projects.
  • Extensive experience with direct customer contact is required.
  • Good in both English and Chinese.
  • Excellent conflict resolution and people interface skills.
  • Manage large multi-million dollar turnkey project experience, including multi-vendors and third-party supply.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites.

KPI: Shipment, iPM Compliance, Customer Satisfaction, Utilization, Repeatable/Change Order, AR
