What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Project Manager to join our team, reporting to the Director of People Experience & Integration (RBCx). In this role, you will play a crucial role in driving the delivery of large-scale, complex, cross-functional business and technology programs and projects. You will work with a diverse set of stakeholders and senior leaders and will be at the forefront of strategy execution with teams that deliver some of RBCx’s most important strategic initiatives.

What will you do?

  • Develop and manage integrated roadmaps, including coordination with cross-functional teams across RBCx and RBC
  • Manage the end-to-end execution for multiple, concurrent programs and projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and objectives are met
  • Develop and oversee project plans, ensuring milestones are met, schedules are maintained and goals are successfully delivered
  • Build strong relationships and influence across business and technology partners, collaborating on delivery and aligning priorities to support successful outcomes
  • Facilitate collaboration across teams, remove blockers, drive accountability, and keep initiatives on track
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and interdependencies with clear action plans to address them
  • Manage project communications including status reports to executives, stakeholders, business partners, vendors and project team, ensuring visibility and alignment

What will you need?

Must Have

  • Advanced program/project management knowledge and experience (5+ years) in project delivery, project plan development and management, project governance, scheduling, project metrics, analysis, and reporting
  • Extensive experience in delivery of cross-functional initiatives and management of large-scale programs/projects, including scheduling and roadmaps, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Extensive experience in managing technology and business projects with high degree of complexity, systems integration and organizational change management
  • Expertise in driving organizational change, fostering collaboration, promoting transparency, and aligning stakeholders on shared goals
  • Advanced planning expertise, with experience creating and maintaining integrated project schedules, roadmaps, and status reports
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively deliver an impactful story that resonates and engages key Business and IT stakeholders at all levels; excellent data visualization skills
  • Expertise building strategic presentations and executive-ready decks
  • Excellent executive presence, with the ability to effectively communicate project / portfolio health and financial performance to senior leaders
  • Advanced skills in standard project management tools:  MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Asana, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and challenging situations, in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Nice to Have

  • Project/Agile/Scrum certifications (e.g. PMP, CSM, and/or SAFe)
  • Project and Program management experience related to technical implementation initiatives, including large-scale migration projects
  • Data analytics expertise and Commercial banking knowledge
  • Recognized Change Management certification (e.g., CCMP, Prosci)
