About this role:

The Sr. Project Manager in Branded Research CoE will work in a global environment, in partnership with multiple Gartner analysts and external clients. The candidate would be expected to manage the end-to-end creation process of multiple branded research documents. Additionally, the candidate would be responsible for coaching and training junior team members.

This is a unique opportunity for a systematic, growth-oriented, and experienced individual to make a big impact on Gartner’s client experience as part of the Gartner’s Branded Research CoE. We are looking for an impact-driven, self-motivated problem solver who can project manage the creation process of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant and Critical Capability documents. As a Project Manager, you will partner with various external and internal stakeholders in Gartner to support the creation process of branded research.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of highly complex, high-impact branded research projects, including flagship Magic Quadrants and Critical Capabilities, often spanning multiple teams or geographies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, including executive sponsors and high-profile clients, driving alignment and managing challenging conversations.
  • Oversee and guide multiple project teams (including PMs and junior staff), providing strategic direction, coaching, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Champion process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and driving adoption of new methodologies, tools, and best practices across the Branded Research CoE.
  • Develop and present project/program updates, business cases, and post-project reviews to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations for future improvements.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Lead change management efforts for new tools, processes, or methodologies, supporting team adoption and upskilling.
  • Coach Project Managers and junior team members, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Track, analyze, and report on team and project performance metrics, using data to inform strategic decisions and resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards as needed.

What you’ll need:

  • MBA or equivalent degree required, or bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
  • 5 - 6 years of experience in project management, stakeholder communication, and operational coordination within a global, fast-paced environment with a proven track record of managing complex, high-visibility projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, clients, vendors and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Proven time management, planning, and prioritization abilities.
  • Capacity to quickly absorb and analyse large volumes of information from diverse sources.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and coaching project teams, driving performance and professional development.
  • Experience in driving process improvement and change management initiatives.

Preferred Skills 

  • Experience with branded or sponsored research projects. 
  • Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar). 
  • Familiarity with data visualisation and storytelling techniques.
  • Background in B2B technology research, analyst firm, or management consulting. 
  • Experience managing cross-functional or global project teams and presenting to senior leadership.
