About this role: 

Working within the Research Engagement Services Strategy and Operations Tech Project Management team, you drive the execution of complex global cross-business-unit programs with business-critical outcomes and strategic impact You will guide the program teams to improve our business processes, leveraging technology, and utilizing detailed project plans and frameworks to organize multiple concurrent technology initiatives. Your ability to be proactive, detail oriented, agile, understand and work with agile technical teams, build partnerships, and influence stakeholders will be essential in achieving targeted outcomes and driving valuable scalable service for our clients. 

What you will do: 

  • Take ownership and define, deliver and manage technology focused programs on a global basis. 

  • Support achievement of business objectives and goals and satisfaction of business needs by designing, coordinating, implementing, managing, measuring and monitoring the effectiveness of programs. 

  • Partner & collaborate with senior Strategy and Operations colleagues, technology partners & other business units to capture operational & business requirements, establish and execute on strategies and tactical plans for the definition, development and implementation of cohesive capabilities.  

  • Act as Product Owner for technology supporting client interactions. Collaborate closely with a team of product managers, engineers, analysts and operations specialists to build and manage client service focused technology solutions in an Agile development environment. 

  • Process Management & Design: demonstrate effective process management through process design, execution and service excellence. Work with business partners to optimize existing processes, using principles of efficiency, simplicity, leverage, data utilization, and change management. 

  • Provide thought leadership on appropriateness of tools and process to deliver program goals. 

  • Design and deliver program communications and presentations to all management levels within and beyond business unit. Manage ongoing interactions with internal stakeholders. 

  • Create and manage key success measurement criteria and develop feedback reports and analysis to drive continuous program improvement. 

  • Maintain an excellent understanding of process and technology areas supported, internal/external business management & informational needs. 

  • Use subject matter expertise to prepare and maintain project and process workflow documentation. 

  • Create, run and maintain tracking and reporting processes and tools to monitor aspects of strategic business operations. 

  • Create and provide training and business process support  

  • Foster excellent program management and advance standard methodologies by following and continuously improving project, program and portfolio frameworks for RES S&O based on industry best practices. 

 

What you will need: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher or equivalent experience 

  • 6-10 years’ experience supporting content, strategy or product and/or product strategy and programs within a large, complex global organization 

  • Preferred process and program management certifications such as PMP certification, Certified Scrum Master, Certified Scrum Product Owner, Lean, Six Sigma, Design Thinking training and transformation-based experience. 

  • Experience with release planning, authoring requirements, writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and working with agile development teams with successful results. 

  • 5+ years successful project management experience involving implementation of large strategic projects across a complex matrix organization with distributed virtual teams. 

  • Advanced skill in product development, project management and business analysis tools: such as Microsoft Project, Visio, Excel, Jira, and Confluence 

  • Demonstrated track record of successful business analysis, design and management of optimized processes, projects and programs in a complex global workforce environment. 

  • Leadership skills with the ability and credibility to own and manage complex global cross-business-unit programs of work, gain consensus and ensure successful outcomes, among large, diverse, global groups of constituents, with a broad spectrum of roles and titles, including senior executives. 

  • Thought leadership skills & ability to partner with senior management on program development and to lead and advise team members. 

  • Excellent negotiation, influencing, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills required. 

  • Excellent business operations, project management, analytical & organizational skills, IT literacy, numeracy, initiative, problem solving, rigor and attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 92,000 USD - 131,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
