Sr Professional – II, Application Development

About your role:
At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As an Application Development – Sr Professional II, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on creating solutions that make financial transactions seamless and secure. This role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining applications that align with our clients' needs, utilizing the latest in technology.

What you'll do:

Design, build, enhance, and support complex full‑stack applications and APIs, owning technical delivery for assigned components and services.

  • Design and develop backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and the Spring Framework.
  • Build and maintain frontend components using React and integrate with REST APIs.
  • Drive delivery of projects using REST, Web Services, Spring Framework, JDBC, and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate).
  • Implement and maintain unit tests and automated test coverage.
  • Develop and operate cloud‑native applications, with hands‑on experience across cloud platforms, including AWS (not limited to a single cloud provider).
  • Apply secure coding practices and remediate issues identified by SCA tools.Design, implement, and optimize database schemas and queries, including SQL
  • development and performance tuning.
  • Implement and integrate tokenization and secure transaction processing where required.
  • Develop and integrate APIs using Developer Studio / API developer tooling, including secure API access and token‑based authentication.

Experience & Qualifications you'll need to have:

  • 5+ years of experience in application development
  • 2+ years of experience in Java, C, C#, C++, or similar programming languages
  • 5 years of experience in Databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), JDBC, ORM
  • 3+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services
  • 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Required Technical Skills

  • Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework
  • REST APIs and Web Services
  • React
  • AWS and cloud application development (multi‑cloud experience acceptable)
  • Unit testing and automated testing frameworks
  • SCA tools and secure dependency management

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Tokenization and secure transaction processing
  • Experience in the financial services industry
