About the Role
Merkle is seeking a TEMPORARY, Part-Time Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of data enrichment, AI, and Synthetic solutions powered by Dentsu's 260M+ record dataset. This role will sit at the intersection of data, analytics, and product — driving cross-functional collaboration between managed services, analytics, engineering, and research operations to bring high-impact solutions to market.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment & Discovery
Audit existing processes, workflows, and tools to surface inefficiencies and misalignment across teams
Conduct stakeholder interviews across leadership, research ops, analytics, managed services, and marketing/sales to understand priorities and pain points
Competitive Analysis & Customer Insights
Lead competitive benchmarking to evaluate Merkle's capabilities against key market players
Develop customer journey maps to visualize the end-to-end research experience and identify opportunities for data enrichment
Synthesize customer feedback and conduct discovery interviews to validate opportunities and ground recommendations in the voice of the customer
Product Strategy & Roadmap
Partner with leadership to define success metrics, set measurable goals, and ensure initiatives deliver both customer and business value
Collaborate with executive and commercial teams on pricing strategy and market positioning
Author Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) capturing problem statements, objectives, target users, technical requirements, risks, and success metrics
Facilitate stakeholder alignment sessions and drive consensus across functions
Define phased implementation plans that balance speed-to-value with feasibility
Product Delivery & Program Management
Build and manage a product backlog, translating strategy into epics, user stories, and technical tasks
Partner with engineering and analytics leadership on resourcing, capacity planning, and execution
Drive cross-team coordination to ensure iterative, on-time delivery
Monitor progress, manage risks, and oversee pilot releases to validate assumptions and demonstrate early value
Adoption & Enablement
Develop enablement materials including training guides, playbooks, and FAQs for internal and client-facing audiences
Lead training sessions to support adoption of new workflows, tools, and data solutions
Coordinate with sales and marketing to align enablement with client messaging and commercial initiatives
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Define KPIs for key use
Track, analyze, and report on performance outcomes to leadership
Continuously refine the roadmap based on data, client feedback, and evolving business needs
Qualifications
10+ years of product management experience, preferably in data, market research, or analytics-driven environments
Proven ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into clear product strategies and stakeholder-ready communications
Experience working with large-scale datasets and data enrichment or audience targeting solutions
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision
Proficiency in writing PRDs, building roadmaps, and managing agile backlogs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience with competitive analysis, customer discovery, and journey mapping
Familiarity with managed services and analytics/engineering team dynamics is a plus

Employees who live within a commutable distance of one of our hub offices, currently located in Chicago, metro Detroit, Los Angeles, and New York City, are required and expected to work from the office three days per week (two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles). Dentsu may designate other Hub offices at any time. Those who live outside a commutable range may be designated as remote, depending on the role and business needs. Regardless of your work location, we expect our employees to be flexible to meet the needs of our Company and clients, which may include attendance in an office.
The hourly pay range for this position is $65.79-$87.77. The hourly pay rate for the successful candidate is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Temporary employees are eligible for paid holidays in accordance with dentsu policy, as well as safe and sick time. This position is not eligible for any other benefits or other compensation.
