Senior Product Manager

We are ready to take this game to the next level and need a passionate Senior Product Manager to oversee the game contribution and performance of LOTTO MAX within the National Draw Based Games category – including managing the identification, evaluation, recommendation and implementation of marketing and product initiatives – to maximize market penetration in alignment with consumer expectations and OLG’s business objectives.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director National Draw Based Games, you will be empowered to:
Oversee the development of the annual Brand Plan for LOTTO MAX – including developing and executing annual marketing plans and budgets, leading sales forecasting , developing and executing strategic priorities and marketing objectives, KPIs and operational plans – to maximize acquisition and retention and deliver against corporate sales and profit targets.
Develop and deliver best-in-class execution of all product and brand marketing initiatives, including full funnel 360° campaigns, to deliver both long term brand health while achieving in-year revenue initiatives.
Be accountable for player acquisition and product management of LOTTO MAX – a high impact, high priority and highly visible brand.
Represent OLG and build strong relationships on the Draw Based Games ILC committee. Actively provide OLG’s point of view to effectively drive strategic business recommendations and contribute to all initiatives and decisions. Manage national ILC projects including media plans; annual net revenue plans; promotions; jackpot instructions and forecast modelling.
Collaborate with ILC committees to contribute to the annual National plan including product launches, sales, profit, and player base objectives.
Deliver insightful business performance reporting and action plans in collaboration with the Performance team, to effectively monitor and manage business performance, leveraging deep understanding of key business dynamics. Effectively optimize plans in-year to ensure delivery of annual objectives.
Develop and capture business requirements and contribute as a SME with Business Design to drive to business decisions for new products and experiences
Contribute to 3-year product plans (including budgets, projections, and operational plans) and initiatives to fulfil the various opportunities and deliver upon corporate sales and profit objectives
Maintain expert knowledge of all market research that is specific to category product management to evaluate market opportunity, revenue opportunity, risk, cost, and implementation requirements
Oversee the recommendation of new marketing initiatives to ensure that identified market opportunities are being fulfilled
Provide strategic direction for the implementation of new market initiatives from concept to launch for – including final game concepts, prize structure and game specifications - to ensure adherence to schedule and OLG’s business goals
Oversee annual budget submissions for assigned brands to ensure compliance with forecasted budget and schedule
Lead the development of a communications plan by identifying business objectives, target audience, communication hierarchies and time in market in order to plan optimal product launches
Build strong relationships and drive business results by collaborating with key cross-functional partners, including Marketing Communications; Sales, Media & Social Media; Enterprise Brand Marketing, Legal; Regulatory, Sponsorships; RG; and Finance.
Collaborate with CX Design on new product launches for the Category specifically as it relates to customer experience, game design, prize structure development, and customer research
Be an excellent team player, supporting the OLG National Draws team and broader Lottery team on broader strategic initiatives that support the growth of Lottery games as a whole, including growth in new channels, developing new capabilities, and attracting new strategic customer segments.
WHAT YOU NEED TO PLAY
Work Experience: 7+ years of experience in a similar role; demonstrated experience in product management, budget management and forecasting, strong communication skills and comfortable presenting to Senior Leadership, working with advertising and briefing agencies, collaborating with cross-functional teams (ex. MarCom, Legal, Responsible Gaming etc.); experience with customer journey mapping and/or CRM tools (preferred)
Knowledge & Education: University degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field or equivalent education, training and experience; understanding of consumers that impacts upon both assigned products and the Ontario marketplace as a whole (includes psychographic; demographic; player and non-player behavioral studies; etc.); demonstrated ability to operate in a multi-disciplined environment including technology, new product development, product design, promotion, merchandising, advertising, public relations and market research as well as in-depth knowledge of sales and retail channels; proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.)
