Sr. Product Manager, Mobile App Security

Core Responsibilities:

  • Owns the strategy, vision, and roadmap for all security‑related experiences in the Vanguard mobile app, including login, biometrics, ID proofing, security profile, and account protection capabilities.
  • Leads digital product management for a strategic mobile product area with cross‑divisional impact, balancing client experience, security posture, and business outcomes.
  • Partners with iOS and Android engineering teams to deliver best‑in‑class, scalable, and secure mobile experiences, leveraging modern mobile and platform capabilities.
  • Collaborates across design, cybersecurity, data, fraud, legal, and operations teams to drive aligned solutions and ensure enterprise standards are met.
  • Applies AI‑enabled tools and data‑driven insights to inform discovery, prioritize outcomes, accelerate delivery, and continuously improve the product lifecycle.
  • Defines success metrics and links product outcomes to clear business and client value drivers; uses qualitative and quantitative techniques to optimize performance.
  • Coaches and influences cross‑functional teams on modern product management practices, experimentation, and continuous learning.
  • Leads planning, development, and rollout of new capabilities—from early discovery through launch and lifecycle management—ensuring readiness across stakeholders.
  • Represents the product with senior leaders, articulating trade‑offs, risks, and opportunities with clarity and confidence.
  • Participates in enterprise planning, prioritization, and special initiatives aligned to Vanguard’s digital and security strategy.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in product management or digital strategy, with at least 3 years leading large, cross‑functional teams delivering complex products at scale.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Demonstrated strength in digital product lifecycle management, customer experience design, stakeholder influence, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Experience working on mobile applications, security, identity, authentication, or platform products strongly preferred.
  • Comfort operating in an AI‑enabled product environment, using modern tools for discovery, analytics, experimentation, and delivery.
  • Proficiency with product and delivery tools such as Jira, Confluence, Aha!, and analytics platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, actionable narratives.
  • Preferred certifications: CSPO, Pragmatic Institute Product Management Certification, SAFe POPM.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
