Sr. Procurement Manager – Chillers Business Unit
Description
We are looking for a passionate and strategic Sr. Procurement Manager to lead a team of 6 buyers in driving growth and profitability for our Chillers Product Business Unit (PBU). You will be a key member of the PBU leadership team reporting to the Director of Procurement. You will provide innovative procurement solutions and fostering a high-performing team environment, in a business experiencing rapid expansion.
What You Will Do
- Lead with a Growth Mindset: Identify and develop new sourcing opportunities with a focus on business expansion and category growth.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a growth-minded approach within your team, promoting supplier innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Foster Strong Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, demonstrating high emotional intelligence and effective communication skills.
- Lead a High-Performing Team: Develop and coach a team of 6 buyers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Develop and Execute Procurement Strategy: Collaborate with the PBU leadership team to define and execute strategic procurement initiatives that optimize spend within the ~1B annual budget.
- Manage End-to-End NPI Support: Provide comprehensive procurement support for new product introductions (NPI) within the PBU.
- Lead Negotiations: Secure optimal pricing, terms, and quality through strategic negotiations with critical suppliers.
- Drive Operational Excellence: Ensure team compliance with established procurement processes and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop Team Capabilities: Champion continuing education for your team to enhance their effectiveness and build strong supplier relationships.
- Promote Sustainability: Identify and implement sustainable procurement practices within the global supply chain.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or equivalent; an MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 6-10 years of experience in a multinational organization.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in a Strategic Sourcing role, preferably with Direct Materials.
- Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams within a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle ambiguity and complex situations.
- Working knowledge of SAP or other equivalent ERP systems.
- Experience negotiating complex supply contracts.
- Ability to travel 10% globally and domestically
