The Sr. Process Engineer will be responsible for development and scale up of new processes to support innovation, manufacturing process optimization initiatives, and integration of new process technology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with Cooperative business objectives and provide technical expertise. Additionally, you will provide reports to management, handle external vendors, and provide technical leadership to partner facilities.

A Day in the Life...

  • Provide a process engineering presence in research and development with a focus on commercializing and developing new products and processes.

  • Technical lead on development and process improvement to new or existing products or processes.

  • Initiate, implement, and cost justify modifications in the areas of yields, throughput of batching and thermal processing, utility savings, and other process areas.

  • Apply standard engineering techniques in the analysis of existing operational areas from raw materials to finished packages.

  • Design, develop, and execute experimentation in the pilot-plant.

  • Work with product development, insights, and marketing divisions to launch new products into the market.

  • Prepare reports, feasibility studies, expenditure requests, etc.

  • Maintain an up-to-date awareness of Federal, State, and Local engineering codes and regulations.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 4+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience in R+D and food/beverage processing

  • Experience in thermal processing, heat exchangers, hot fill juice production, batching systems, product recovery systems, CIP technology, and bulk receiving systems

  • Analytical and troubleshooting skills

  • Process improvement mindset

  • Ability to collaborate

  • Strong communication skills

  • Project management skills

  • Experience in controls and instrumentation, preferred

Education:

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)

Work Experience:

At least 3 Years of Experience

Annual Salary:

$96,200 - $132,220
