The Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems organization is seeking a highly skilled Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) CAMEO Administrator to lead the implementation, governance, and optimization of our Cameo modeling environment. This is a Sr. Principal Systems Engineering Architecture role that will be pivotal in maintaining robust configuration management practices, enforcing modeling standards, and integrating within CAMEO to ensure seamless traceability across requirements, design, verification, and validation activities.
The ideal candidate combines deep MBSE expertise with advanced proficiency in Cameo Systems Modeler, strong scripting abilities, and a proven track record of delivering reliable, secure, and scalable modeling solutions in a collaborative, multi disciplinary setting.
Responsibilities:
• Tool ownership – Install, patch, upgrade, and maintain Cameo tools and licenses
• Model governance – Define and enforce modeling standards, profiles, libraries, and conduct audits
• Configuration management – Administer repositories, branching/merging policies, baselines, and change tracking
• Security & access – Manage role based permissions, backups, and audit logs
• Integration – Connect Cameo with requirements, PLM, ALM, and simulation tools via OSLC/REST
• Automation – Create and maintain Python/JavaScript scripts for validation, reporting, and CI/CD
• Training & support – Provide onboarding, workshops, day to day user assistance, and documentation
• Quality assurance – Define validation rules, run automated checks, and report findings
• Performance & scalability – Optimize large models, plan capacity, and implement scaling strategies
• Continuous improvement – Track MBSE trends, Cameo releases, and propose process/tool enhancements
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline with 9 years of relevant experience, or a Master of Science Degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of experience
• Thorough understanding of Systems Engineering fundamentals
• Expert-level proficiency with Cameo Systems Modeler
• Experience with the establishment and enforcement of modeling standards (e.g., naming conventions, diagram usage, documentation practices)
• Ability to create, customize, and maintain SysML profiles, libraries, templates, and reusable model elements
• Able to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret clearance (Interim required to start)
• Experience defining reusable modeling methods to complex System Engineering problems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Expertise in CAMEO meta chain navigation to generate custom queries (expert level knowledge)
• Experience with Black box/white box
• Experience applying MBSE concepts throughout the system life cycle (requirements, architecture, design, verification, validation)
• Skilled in scripting (Python, JavaScript) for automation of repetitive modeling tasks
• Experience with CAMEO configuration management (Define branching/merging strategies, lock policies, and model baselines aligned with project governance)
• Expert knowledge DoDAF or SysML
Primary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
