Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking Sr Principal Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join the Regulatory Compliance Team on-site in McLean, VA. This position may work a hybrid schedule.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and apply applicable federal, state, and international regulations (e.g., DFARS, FAR, and CAS) to ensure that all operations, contracts, and deliverables remain compliant.
- Serve as the primary liaison with government agencies, auditors, and internal stakeholders on compliance matters, including preparing and presenting audit findings, corrective action plans, and status reports.
- Conduct high‑impact risk assessments and gap analyses; prioritize remediation activities and track implementation of mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with the Government to respond to requests for information related to business systems, CAS, and other government-related audits.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8 years related work experience or 6 years with a Masters. Will consider 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- Background in government contracting, to include working knowledge of FAR/DFARs.
- Strong analytical, risk‑management, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to convey complex regulatory concepts to non‑technical audiences.
- Proven leadership and project‑management experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to navigate matrixed organizations and influence without direct authority.
- Strong proficiency with S/4, Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- DCAA/DCMA audit experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, with added emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Aerospace/Defense industry experience in business management functions including indirect rates, accounting, and/or billing
- Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a proven ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced team environment
Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
